Cookies Policy

In candam.eu (hereinafter "OUR WEBSITE"), as in the vast majority of websites that exist today, we use "cookies" in order to provide the user with faster and more effective access to all products and services we offer.

By means of the present document we develop all the aspects related to the use and treatment that we make of the cookies, what they are, which ones and how we use them and how you can modify your preferences in this respect.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES AND THEIR USE ON OUR WEBSITE

A cookie is a small file that is downloaded to your computer when you access Our Web, through which it is possible to recognize the browser you are using, as well as record your activity during the visit. The main purpose of cookies is to provide the user with faster access to the products and services offered. In addition, thanks to the installation of cookies, we can customize the content we offer, providing each user with information that is of interest to them or that may be of interest to them, based on their use of the products and services mentioned above.

Cookies also help us to understand user behavior within Our Web, which means that we can improve your experience through them. We use cookies that help to personalize the user's navigation to the maximum. The cookies we use on Our Web are only associated with an anonymous user and their computer, without providing references that allow us to deduce the user's name and surname, read data from their hard drive or include viruses in their texts. Likewise, we cannot read the cookies implanted in the user's hard disk from other servers.

The user may configure his browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by Our Web, without affecting the ability to access the content we offer. However, the quality of operation of Our Web or some services may be affected and / or decrease its optimal performance.

TYPES OF COOKIES AND HOW THEY WORK. WHICH ONES DO WE USE ON OUR WEBSITE?

In general terms, and according to the length of time that cookies remain activated on the computer, we can distinguish the following types:

Session cookies:
They collect data only during the time the user accesses the service, expiring once it has been provided. They are usually used for example to remember the products that the user has included in his order while browsing Our Web, as well as for security reasons when sending data when accessing financial services, email, etc.. Session cookies expire when the user closes the browser.

Temporary cookies:
They collect data beyond the time during which the user accesses Our Website. This type of cookie is used, for example, to store and remember the user's browsing preferences. Temporary cookies expire when the purpose for which they were created is fulfilled (for example, to keep the user identified in the different services that can be accessed on Our Website) or when they are manually deleted.

On the other hand, depending on their purpose, cookies can be classified into the following types:

Persistent Cookies:
Are those that have an expiration date distant in time, remaining hosted on the user's computer even when the browser session ends.

Own Cookies:
These are those that are sent to the user's equipment from a domain managed directly by CANDAM TECHNOLOGIES SL. (hereinafter "OUR COMPANY"), from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Third-party cookies:
Certain cookies are not installed by Our Company, but by third parties dedicated to specific services aimed at the user. Since these third parties are the ones who proceed to their implementation, blocking and uninstalling them is governed by their specific conditions and mechanisms.

Within third-party cookies, we can find the following types:

  • Performance Cookies:
They remember the user's preferences regarding the tools integrated in the services offered in Our Web, avoiding having to configure them every time they are used. Examples of this type of cookies would be: remembering the products that make up an order, carrying out the purchase process of the same, completing the application for registration or participation in an event, etc.
  • Registration Cookies:
These are generated when the user has registered on Our Website or, subsequently, when they have opened their session, being used to enable access to restricted content. Some services may use connectors with social networks such as Twitter, Facebook or Linkedin. The user will have previously authorized that social network to store a persistent cookie that remembers your identity, granting access to services until it expires. The user can delete that cookie and revoke access to the services by modifying their preferences on the social network in question.
  • Advertising Cookies:
They allow the management of advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the publisher has included on a web page, application or platform from which it provides the requested service. Thanks to these cookies, the information of the advertisements shown to anonymous users can be expanded. It also analyzes the duration or frequency of advertising views, the interaction they have had with the ads, and browsing behaviors. Thanks to this, it is possible to generate an advertising profile related to the interests of each type of user.

Of the different types of cookies explained above, on Our Website we use those managed by the Google Analytics service, a tool owned by Google Inc. that helps us to measure how users interact with the content of Our Website. Google Analytics provides us with JavaScript tags (libraries) to record information about the web pages that have been visited, such as the URL of the page. These libraries use HTTP cookies to "remember" what the user has done on the pages or in their interactions with Our Website.

Specifically, the cookies used are:

Cookie Duration Description
__utma Two years from its configuration or update. It is used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the JavaScript library is executed and there is no __utma cookie. It is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmb 30 minutes after it is set or updated. Used to determine new sessions or visits. The cookie is created when the JavaScript library is executed and there is no __utmb cookie. It is updated each time data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmc Until end of browser session. It is set to interact with urchin.js. Previously, this cookie acted in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine if the user was in a new session or visit.
__utmt 10 minutes from its setting or update. Used to record the number of monitoring requests made, limiting data collection on high-traffic websites.
__utmz Six months after configuration or update. Stores the traffic source that explains how the user arrived at Our Website. The cookie is created when the JavaScript library is executed and is updated each time data is sent to Google Analytics.
NID Six months after it is set or updated. It facilitates the visualization of maps using the Google Maps tool.
PREF Two years from its configuration or update. Facilitates the visualization of maps using the Google Maps tool.
